Education
She completed a DPhil in atmospheric physics at the University of Oxford after an MSc in atmospheric and climate science at ETH Zurich. Her training joined radiative processes, fluid dynamics, statistical inference, and instrument design, giving her a practical view of how measurements and models constrain one another.
Experience
Amina previously built attribution models and rugged field instruments. That work taught her to examine the full chain from sensor placement and calibration through quality control, model assumptions, and public interpretation. Current focus
Her current focus is evidence that remains understandable when it moves between disciplines. She works on review practices for compound events, comparable baselines, and uncertainty language. She also supports teams in separating what a dataset directly shows from the mechanism a model suggests and the decision a reader may choose to make.
Beyond work
Every notebook Amina owns contains cloud sketches beside equations and meeting notes. She bakes cardamom buns slowly, preferring a reliable fermentation to a shortcut. Colleagues know that a hand-drawn cloud in the margin usually means she has found a question worth returning to.
