Frequently asked questions

These answers describe the boundary of the Still North and SearchCue demonstration.

Is Still North Arctic Institute real?

No. Still North, every employee, expedition, review, comment, and product is fictional. The site is a public SearchCue demonstration. Factual Arctic claims link to named primary sources.

Are the photographs documentary records?

No. Editorial scenes, portraits, and product photographs were generated from the public image manifest and inspected before use. Alt text and captions describe them without claiming real Still North activity.

Can I buy a product?

No. You can search the catalog, choose variations, add items, apply the demonstration coupons, estimate tax and shipping, change quantities, and remove items. Checkout and order creation are blocked. No payment or shipment occurs.

Why are there staff profiles and author archives?

They provide realistic people discovery across roles, teams, biographies, bylines, pages, and native WordPress author archives. Every profile is fictional and links back into the same disclosed demonstration.

Where do the Arctic facts come from?

The site uses the NOAA Arctic Report Card 2025, IPCC AR6 Working Group III, and Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami’s National Inuit Strategy on Research. The complete links and method appear on Sources and methods.

What does SearchCue add?

SearchCue instruments the native search inputs and Search link, indexes pages, stories, profiles, images, and WooCommerce products, and can answer questions with citations to the indexed demonstration content.
